China - Rural Pastors

Help a Chinese congregation in rural China

Graduating seminary students want to return to their rural homes and lead their congregations, but most rural churches are unable to support their pastors. Many of these pastors must leave their ministry and their calling so they can fi nd paid work. Some regions have hundreds of thousands of people, but just one or two pastors.

For a small monthly amount, you can help support a rural Chinese pastor in ministry.

Rural congregations are also under threat of losing their church buildings. Local government offi cials can close buildings if facilities do not meet certain standards. Mennonite Church Canada Witness is working to prevent the closure of meeting places. Your help enables these gathering points to continue to be places of worship and witness.
