Burkina Faso - Growing a church, growing leaders

The Mennonite student population in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, is a very small minority within the 10% of the population that is Christian. Striving to maintain their spiritual connection and faith roots, leaders of the fledgling Mennonite church here have invited workers from Canada to help grow a new church plant in Ouagadougou with a special focus on young adults (the median age in Burkina Faso is 17). Jeff and Tany Warkentin are committed to helping develop a young adult fellowship in Ouagadougou, assisting young adults to discern their gifts and consider pastoral leadership vocations where they live.
