For a New Generation of Children - KidsPak

Kids! Pack your bags and travel with God’s people! At Christmas time young and old travel to celebrate with family and friends God’s wonderful gift of Jesus coming down to be Emmanuel. Even those who stay at home imitate God’s generosity to us by preparing gifts for others, packing them carefully, and getting ready to receive Christmas travellers.

This Advent and Christmas season, we invite you to make and pack another bag. The pattern on this page is waiting for your fingers to fold and shape into a suitcase to hold the gifts you collect to help make a difference in someone’s life. After you’ve made your gift bag, pick a project from the menus on the left, or from KidsPak. Raise money for it from your own allowance and by encouraging family and friends to be generous at your Christmas celebrations. Then, on Epiphany, see how much you’ve collected and send it to Mennonite Church Canada, as your grateful offering for the Christ child.

Just as KidsPak projects regularly provide opportunities to make a difference in the lives of God’s many children at home, across the street, and around the world, the projects in this Gift Sampler help God’s people travel to bring and receive gifts of friendship, training, and encouragement that help us all grow as God’s family, from generation to generation.
