South Korea - Is non-violence possible?

Planting and Watering Seeds of Peace

Seminary students from four countries crowd around a tiny table in the Korea Anabaptist Center (KAC) library. A student from Myanmar (Burma) shares the current struggle of his church in finding a response to extreme violence and injustice. “Is non-violence really possible?” he asks.

The KAC, founded in 2000, is already reaching well beyond Korean borders with its message of peace and reconciliation. Korean people know all about armed conflict and political instability: their country has been invaded 900 times over its 5,000 year history and remains divided by conflict. A small but committed nucleus of believers is working through the Korea Anabaptist Center in Seoul to spread the gospel of peace, build a vision for what God’s Kingdom can become and challenge the Korean people in their walk of faithfulness.
