Vietnam - Help a Church Survive

Mennonite pastors long for more training as they lead growing congregations.

The Mennonite Church in Vietnam is growing rapidly. Students are eager to learn about Anabaptist theology. People are noticing how the lives of some of their friends, neighbours, and family members are being transformed through Biblical teaching. The Mennonite Church in Vietnam received official recognition from government authorities in November 2008. Even some Mennonite churches remain unrecognized and several church leaders remain in prison. The church has made formal a request for the release of these church leaders.

Amidst the changes in the church, Mennonite Church in Vietnam is very active in evangelism, children and youth work, women’s ministries, music, worship and other involvements. Mennonite Church Canada supports annual training courses for leaders of the church which are helping the church to grow in faith and be a witness to those around them.
